Starting in early 2005, Aerzen USA began developing plans to build a new office and manufacturing space. The eco-friendly "Green" building started to take shape.

Today the building is completed and was officially inaugurated on April 25, 2008.

On February 5th, 2009 the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) awarded Aerzen USA the LEED Gold certification. Aerzen USA is the first manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania to achieve this high level and one of the first in the USA.

The building features:

• Day-lighting
• Pervious paving, infiltration beds and rain gardens
• Beams made from recycled wood
• Concrete with 40% recycled content
• Plastered straw-bale walls
• Re-used office furniture
• "Wild Meadow" landscaping vs. manicured lawns
• "Earth Tubes" that condition some of the air underground
