The economic alternative for sewage technology!

The successful screw compressor units DELTA SCREW of the Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH were expanded by several new sizes offering a drive via V-belt. Consequently the customer can choose the most optimal and best-priced unit for his case of application from one of the most extensive compressor series. With totally 8 V-belt driven and 12 gear driven sizes the DELTA SCREW now cover intake volume flows from 180 m³/h to 15.000 m³/h and discharge pressures of 3,0 bar (abs.) resp. 4,5 bar (abs.) at single-stage operation. Regarding vacuum pressure the compressors can be applied up to 70% of vacuum (0,3 bar abs.), as special design up to 85% of vacuum (0,15 bar abs.).

The units are designed for conveying air and neutral gases and are specially used in the pneumatic conveyance of bulk materials and in water economy (sewage plants, water treatment of deeper waters), but also in many other ranges, such as process technical plants and environmental protection.

Specially in the sewage technology regarding ventilation of sludge basins, the screw compressor unit DELTA SCREW can usefullly be applied from an overpressure of 800 mbar resp. a water depth of 8 m. The advantages of the screw compressor result from the internal compression and the optimal energetically involved performance adjustment. Referring to the efficiency, screw compressors therefore form an economic alternative compared with the application of turbo compressors. Due to their construction they are additionally insensitive regarding pressure- and temperature variations and show an essentially higher control range of volume flow from 25% up to 100% (for comparison turbo compressors: 40% up to 100%).

Moreover the V-belt driven designs of the DELTA SCREW-series distinguish by a good speed-adjustment and less investment costs compared with directly-driven compressor units.
